What we’ll do
To start, we will meet at a forest in Muskoka and I’ll talk about the healing benefits of Earthing, forest bathing and I will happily share a couple of stories from my recent experience at the Wim Hof Winter Expedition in Poland. Before entering the trailhead, all participants will be taught how to safely explore Mother Nature in the cold and in your bare feet. As a group, we will begin our hike on the trail. You’ll be guided to do a short meditation and some breathing exercises to increase mindfulness while noticing the cold sensations we feel while dressed warmly. You will be encouraged to have fun and try new things like touching the snow with your bare hands, making snow angels and explore the sensation of cold on your feet. We will take our boots and socks off and walk in the snow so you can experience snow-bathing in your bare feet. We will dig up some snow and try Earthing too. We will only stay barefoot for a safe period of time, dependant on the weather. Your safety is of utmost importance to me. Back indoors, we’ll have some Canadian Chaga Tea and a Ginger Cookie. You will each receive a complimentary personally signed copy of my third book: How to Wear Bare Feet.
